About Helen and her goals

Meet Helen, a determined and resilient personal training client of mine on a transformative fitness journey.Helen sought strengthening, toning and increased confidence after a setback an unfortunate knee injury.
This injury not only affected her physical well-being but also took a big toll on her self assurance. In the aftermath Helen found herself inactive and missing her daily functional exercises, resulting in weight gain of 2 stone.

With a goal to regain strength, tone her body, boost confidence and shed those extra pounds we get together and go for the 3 month body boost program. Helen’s commitment to her well-being is both inspiring and commendable.
Now join us as we follow Helen’s empowering path towards reclaiming her health , fitness and confidence.

initial phase of Helen’s training

In the initial phase of Helen’s training, we embarked On a journey of rebuilding from the ground up. Given the sensitivity of her knee injury, cardio activities were temporarily set aside and our focus shifted to enhancing Helen’s  stability.

The first two months were dedicated to strengthening the muscles and ligaments surrounding the affected  knee.Despite the slow progress Helen’s unwavering determination became a driving force. Week by week subtle yet significant improvements unfolded. The key was not just physical but also rebuilding the confidence that having the injury had shaken.
This was a crucial foundation laying phase before we could transition into a more rigorous, workout routine.

Helen’s personal training journey

Throughout Helen’s personal training journey each  workout was a deliberate and meticulous step towards rebuilding her strength, power and endurance. We incorporated tools like stability balls , resistance bands and small weights focusing on eliminating the fear of falling a natural concern after an injury. Emphasis was placed on perfecting her landings after jumping instilling the confidence to stabilise herself if a slip did occur. Additionally , balance exercises played a crucial role not only in enhancing stability but also contributing to over all toning.

While the progress was undeniable and encouraging and confidence was coming now the calorie burn remained slow, prompting Helen’s eagerness for visible weight loss. Her positivity and determination however continued to shine through, making every session exciting and an example of the power of purposeful progressive training .

Helen’s training program

As we conclude the first 3 months of Helen’s training program, the results speak volumes about her dedication and perseverance. Helen has experienced a substantial increase in strength both in her lower and upper body.
The noticeable toning in her upper body is due to the targeted efforts we invested in rebuilding and sculpting.
More impressively Helen’s confidence has made a big return and the progress in her knee strength is remarkable too.

Moving into the fourth month marks a pivotal transition as we embark on the workout phase.
With a foundation of strength, stability and renewed confidence,Helen is ready to embrace more dynamic exercises and challenges.
The journey continues and the transformation unfolding is an example of Helen’s resilience and the effectiveness of a tailored, progressive training program.

Helen’s six month program

Entering the fourth month of Helen’s six month program marks a dynamic shift as we dive into circuit training for weight loss, incorporating supersets for increased strength and a significant calorie burn.
The workout intensity has elevated with heavier weights, precise jumping and landing techniques and the introduction of twisting and rotational movements and cardio exercises.
The goal now goes beyond the gym to envisioning a dream run on the beach during her up and coming holiday ! With her new found stability and unwavering confidence, Helen is steadily reaching for that dream run, each session pushing her closer to the active lifestyle she inspires to achieve.
The combination of diverse exercises in this phase enhances her physical capabilities and shows how far we have come in her personal training journey.

helen's nutrition journey

As Helen progresses to the Fifth month of her journey nutrition takes centre stage, becoming a crucial component of her holistic approach to health and fitness. Emphasising a protein-rich diet aids in strengthening and repairing the knee area, contributing not only to improved stability but also supporting her weight loss goals . Helen’s dedication to training and patience for results is paying off, evident not only in her overall health but also in her physical appearance.
Running is now integrated into her routine, aligning with her love for the outdoors and the freedom it provides. This not only contributes to elevated cardiovascular fitness also it aligns Helen with her per-suit of some weight loss.
Zumba which is another passion is a great midweek cardio boost.
Helen’s journey is a is a harmonious blend of health , vitality and the joy that comes from an active and full-filling lifestyle

Festive season

As we approach the festive season reflecting on the goals set out at the beginning of this transformative period, I couldn’t be prouder of Helen’s incredible journey. From a place of fear and reduced confidence due to the knee injury when we started in May, she has emerged with newfound stability and strength.
The once dreaded activities like running and jumping are now a part of her superset routines each exercise is executed with confidence and vigour. Dancing is back in Helen’s life with her love for Zumba it’s a fun way to get cardio exercise in. She now has a radiant glow a toned physique and a very elevated fitness level.
Helen is not only ready to embrace the festive celebrations but also looking forward to that run along the beach on her next holiday.
A massive well done to Helen for her commitment, passion and achievement iv fully enjoyed being a part of this empowering journey.
The next stage awaits, focusing on maintaining this new found fitness lifestyle, we will do this together as we continue to build on the incredible foundation that Helen has established.

Focus on Deborah Myers My Fitness Journey

Deciding our goal.

Deborah and I started training back in January this year. Deborah’s goal was weight loss and to better her overall fitness level, so she can look good and feel confident in her clothes and play around with her Grandson without feeling breathless and enjoy herself.

Deborah’s weight was 16 stone 4 lb and although being overweight at this time for her 5 ft 4 in height, she looks sporty and quite toned.

Work begins Deborah chooses the 3-month Body Boost Program where we can work together very closely. In fact, any less than this would not get the results she wanted. This entails meeting 2 or 3 times a week to work out and exercise on the other days in the online group. We set a long-term goal of 12 stone for the future and a short-term goal of 14 stone for spring.

Getting to work

We got to work firstly on her cardiovascular fitness and gradually as Deb became fitter and fitter her breathing really improved. I was knocked back by her strong determination and consistency to succeed in her program. She is a pleasure to train and work with full of motivation.

Determination and hard work pays off

This paid off by April Deborah had lost a stone in weight down to 15 stone. Looking much better, breathing improved, BMI down and into 2 sizes smaller cloaths, and feeling much better. Beginning to enjoy long walks doing extra classes in her spare time and cooking really healthy food, all the components to success.

We hit a plateau

However, we hit a plateau this was a nightmare for Deborah as she was working so hard . Plateau is when you stop at a weight and don’t lose any more weight. Also, an arm injury slowed down her progress but she never gave up it was extremely emotional for her, and lots of blood sweat, and tears were involved.

We start using Circuit Training and Super Sets.

In July after battling with the plateau together but never giving in I started to involve Circuit Training and Super Sets in Debohras workout. This involves resistance training with weights, Cardio and strength. It’s grueling and tough but with Deborah’s hard work and massive determination the plateau is removing itself, and we have 5 lbs more weight loss now down to 14 stone 10lb.

Great results

I’m sure you will agree that Debora looks fantastic showing off her new shape. We are on course for 14 stone 3 lb for Christmas. We will have been training together for almost a year then, so it’s not been easy! As you can see it’s been a battle and as Deb says the hardest thing she has ever done! I’m full of admiration and so proud to be working with her determination and strength of character to smash her goals no matter what obstacles lie in her way! Well done.

Working with Laura is great, she is a pleasure to train, we started slow on our training program and built up. It wasn't long before Laura was doing lots of high-intensity training and meeting her goals. I have included lots of cardio and supersets which are great for weight loss and I regularly slot in Abs and Core training too. Recently, Laura has begun running and sprinting to reach her new goal for the summer.

I am shocked when I look back at these pictures, I can’t believe that I used to weigh 16 stone and I have now got to my goal weight of 11 stone 4 pounds, I have also lost 77 inches from my body, and I feel so much better and have gained so much confidence now that my clothes fit better, I was hoping to get to this goal for my birthday and I have done it, I used to have no energy and felt my weight really affected my mental health, I am in such a happier and healthier place right now, it has been hard work however Amanda has been great supporting me reaching my goal, our weekly sessions have made me realize I can do anything I put my mind to, our cooking sessions have helped me understand my relationship with food, my new goal is to maintain my weight and continue to enjoy my health and fitness journey xx
